So glad we found this place just a short distance from home. The atmosphere was perfect for the wedding we wanted. We were absolutely happy with the way everything here progressed; the staff made the transition from ceremony to cocktails to dinner to dancing and bonfire seem casual, unhurried, and natural. The bonfire was a high point- lots of happy people gathered around chatting. We would recommend MML to anyone we know planning a wedding or just in need of a casual vacation.

WOW, what a fabulous weekend. From the first time Deb and I arrived at Mountain Meadows, I never could have imagined what an unbelievable wedding weekend this would be. I was so impressed throughout.

First, the two of you … energetic, caring and paid attention to every detail. Every time I turned around you were there in my sight. Working diligently to make sure everything was taken care of. You did this with ease and a persona that shined through. You both worked so very very very hard, please know I understand the commitment and the hours that go into making sure others are having a good time. Dave, what a treat, he was wonderful and most accommodating in every way. I never got the name of the lady with the long hair and she was always in black bottoms/black top. She was fabulous as well, not to mention all the other staff and of course Alice. A lady, just wandering about making sure everyone had their fill of her. She never once batted an eyelash at the flash of a camera, so graceful, such style. (:

The food …. OMG … picky Aunt B LOVED everything. That dinner on Saturday was outstanding. The chicken, pasta, green beans, wedding cake … and my personal salad with the Champagne dressing. THANK YOU!!! (Bill, would you share that secret?) I think it would be best if you opened a small restaurant in Sutton, MA. You would make all of us so happy. Small, perhaps seat only 50. Friday nights BBQ, perfect … loved the chicken, beans, corn bread, coleslaw. Had a bite of Bob’s rib, yummy. Breakfast on Sunday …. French Toast to die for and the homemade granola. What a lovely send off. And lastly, the pizza, if you said you were cooking up pizza’s I did not retain that. David (my brother and I) are the pizza king and queen of our family. For years (since I was just a little girl) Dave and I would always get pizza in the late hours of the night as he babysat me. We still do and love it.

Anne, during the ceremony whenever I turned around you were there, when I looked off my right you were there. Just making sure everything went according to plan. So many times I wanted to say thank you, but I didn’t want to interrupt you.

Many years ago, I sold and coordinated all those wedding details at The Publick House in Sturbridge and have worked in the food services industry for many years when I was younger…. What a great establishment you have; a great work ethic, a love for what you do. Loved everything about it and so enjoyed both of you and all that Mountain Meadows offered.

I wanted to add my thanks for a great wedding weekend. We could not have asked for a more beautiful weekend and your staff and family were great. They made us feel at home and were extremely helpful anytime anything was needed. The food was great as well as the presentation. The desert and cheese table was especially nice. I forgot to get the granola recipe from PV. She and Dave did a great job and everyone enjoyed the food. There were so many special touches, including the torches and extra lighting for the bonfire, to moving our flowers to the reception area so we got full use of them. We had to plan this wedding from afar and amazingly enough everything went very smoothly thank to your staff and family.
We will have to plan a future family reunion or other event there as we had such a great time.

Common themes appear in this journal: 1) People tend to love this place; 2) Many return visits occur; 3) Happy memories take place regularly. My family is definitely in the majority opinion. We had a fantastic weekend celebrating the wedding of my youngest sister, and are already making pans for a return visit - hopefully in the autumn.

The staff here are incredible - friendly and accommodating, and Bill and Ann [sic] have a beautiful friendly family. Bill - your culinary skills are brilliant. Ann - your guided hike on the AT leg was extremely enjoyable.
