Located on Kent Lake in Killington, and tucked away in a quiet corner of this small New England town, Mountain Meadows Lodge is a fun-and family-oriented resort. The property, with its three-story lodge and adjacent farmhouse, boasts a sauna, outdoor hot-tub (seasonal), renovated bar room, rustic living room with enormous fireplace and huge picture window overlooking the lake, TV room, game room with billiards, ping-pong, and foosball. On the grounds are plenty of farm animals for the kids to visit and enjoy. We have WIFI and a guest computer with internet.
This serene spot with lakefront recreation and spectacular views is the PERFECT setting for your wedding and wedding reception, family reunion, religious retreat or business meeting.
Winter activities include cross country skiing on and adjacent to the property and downhill skiing at Killington/Pico just minutes away. At the lodge you can cook popcorn in the huge fieldstone fireplace in the landmark living room and gaze at the vistas of Kent Lake through the full-wall picture window. Outdoors, you can take a snowshoe walk or go sledding. Nearby you’ll find tubing and ice-skating as well as horse-drawn sleigh rides.
You can hike on the Appalachian Trial which crosses the property to nearby waterfalls and mountain overlooks. You can borrow Mountain Meadows Lodge equipment to go row boating, canoeing, or kayaking to nearby small islands. There’s both a pool and a lake for swimming. You can fish for trout and bass, play croquet, badminton and volleyball at Mountain Meadows or find golf, horseback riding, and mountain biking nearby. In the evenings you’ll not want to miss a lake-side campfire with a marshmallow s'mores roast.
"For a taste of vintage Vermont"
(Family Fun Magazine, Winter 2003)
"Mountain Meadows Lodge retains the priceless warm patina of a '40s or '50s ski lodge, carefully updated. It's long been a family and skier favorite for its bounteous meals (buffet with prime rib and vegetarian lasagna, homemade bread and desserts), and its facilities which include an outdoor hot tub (seasonal), game room, sauna, TV/movie room and onsite massage therapist."
